Post-construction clean

The last clean before handover, when everything is covered in everything.

A finished build is covered in material that ordinary cleaning was never meant for — mortar smear, stucco splatter, silicone, adhesive labels, paint overspray and a fine construction dust that gets into every track and reveal.

Glass is the delicate part. New glazing scratches easily, and a lot of what is stuck to it has to come off mechanically rather than chemically. That is a scraper at the right angle on wet glass, done with care, and it is where inexperienced post-construction cleans do damage that cannot be undone.

Timing is the other half. Clean too early and the trades may dirty it again. Clean too late and the material may have fully cured. It is worth having a conversation about the construction schedule rather than choosing a date alone.
